Diagnostics
The Proton Therapy Center in Prague offers selected diagnostic examinations – magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography in combination with computed tomography (PET/CT). We offer examinations not only to our cancer patients, but also to those, who have a referral from their physician.
The Radiodiagnostics Department performs the following examinations:
- MRI of the head (for example brain including MRI angiography, brain spectroscopy),
- MRI of the limbs, joints, spine (cervical, thoracic or lumbar),
- MRI of soft tissues,
- MRI imaging of the neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis,
- MRI angiography,
- MRI spectroscopy,
- MRI cholangiopancreaticography (MRCP),
- MRI of the breast.
The Department of Nuclear Medicine performs the following examinations:
- PET/CT of the torso using the radiopharmaceutical fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG),
- PET/CT of the torso using the radiopharmaceutical fluorocholine (FCh),
- PET/CT of the torso using radiopharmaceutical 18F-fluciclovin (Axumin),
- PET/CT of the brain using the radiopharmaceutical fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG),
- PET/CT of the brain using the radiopharmaceutical C-methionine (C-Met),
- PET/CT for radiotherapy planning.
